The Importance Of Sunscreen

With summer now approaching and the beautiful strong rays of sunshine warming up our skin, it is the time of year to take extra good care of it. One should be wearing sunscreen all year round ... don't be fooled by the winter sun thinking it couldn't possibly be doing anything to you since you don't see a "tan" gradually warming up your skin tone. Even on those winter days where the sun peaks out a little, it still causes damage to your skin if you're not using any SPF. In the summer months the sun is that much stronger (even when its cloudy!) so its extra important to take proper caution. After all, do you really want to have excessive fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, damaged skin and possibly skin cancer under 50? No thanks. I wish I was told this earlier and was taught all about the importance of sunscreen and the damaging effects the sun has on your skin if you don't use it. When I was in my teen years, it wasn't cool to use sunscreen, it was all about getting that tan and a competition on who got the darkest. Luckily I never got into tanning beds, thank goodness for that! It was probably mostly due to the fact that I didn't have money to go, phew. I am now an avid user of sunscreen especially on my face, and have a few that I love and use the most. So I thought I would share which ones I recommend for quick, easy and fuss free application that also look great under makeup and really take no time at all, making you have zero excuses not to put it on every day.

Murad Invisiblur Perfecting Shield - I love this one the most because it combines an SPF, primer and anti aging serums to help blur and protect while combating the signs of aging. Its also really lightweight and non sticky which I love for any kind of sunscreen.

Vichy Ideal Soleil Ultra Light Lotion - A sunscreen that feels like skincare. Lightweight, non greasy or sticky, and most importantly, absorbs quickly without leaving a white residue on the skin.

Shiseido Gentle Sun Protection Lotion - I have used Shiseido's sunscreen for as long as I can remember and there is a reason why. Its lightweight formula makes applying it super quick and easy and it simply works well and does the job! It also smells fantastic.

Whether you want to give these a try, or you have your own favourite sunscreen already, doesn't matter, just save your skin, trust me!
