Highlighters have been having a serious moment on the makeup scene, and with summer soon approaching, there is nothing I love more than glowy dewy skin. Highlighters come in a variety of formulas such as liquid, gel, cream and powder. But for today's post I thought I would take you through my favourite liquid highlighters as they are the ones I love to use most in the spring and summer months. While beauty trends, much like fashion trends, can come and go, I think strobing is around to stay, and that couldn't excite me more.
No7 Skin Illuminator "Nude & Pink" - I picked these up on a trip to London a couple years back, and have loved them ever since. I'm usually not a big fan of products that come with applicators attached to them because they usually aren't very good - but I actually find the brush quality on these to be pretty decent. These particular highlighters I love using on my body. The Nude one for when I have more of a tan and the Pink one for my more paler months. Mix a little with your favourite moisturizer to help sheer it out and it creates a flawless and shimmery complexion.
Josie Maran Argan Enlightenment Illuminizer - A highlighter that gives you more of a wet look thanks to it being enriched with Argan oil! Because of how sheer and glossy it is, its super versatile, making it a great one that you can use on its own, mixed into your foundation, or mixed with your moisturizer before applying.
Inglot Face And Body Illuminator "69" - An oil free Illuminator that contains pearlescent molecules and comes in a great range of 8 different shades, making it perfect for anyone to shimmer and shine.
Charlotte Tilbury Wonder Glow - This highlighter is actually pretty cool because its a face reflective primer, giving you a natural looking glow from within, showing through your foundation base.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector "Opal" - Another highlighter that I love for face and body, and my favourite and most used of the bunch. I love this one because of the ultra-fine, light reflective pearls giving you the perfect amount of shine without too many reflective sparkles.
Stay tuned for my upcoming blog post where I share my favourite powder highlighters!
x Ashley
